Health Coaching

Ageing is a natural process, but how you age is within your control. At The Healthy Ageing Coach, we believe in empowering you to make informed decisions about your health and well-being, so you can enjoy life to the fullest at every stage. From personalized nutrition plans to holistic health coaching, our services are designed to address your unique needs and aspirations, helping you unlock your full potential and thrive as you age gracefully.

  • In the initial consultation we will get clear on your health vision and specific goals, areas of concern and current challenges. We can then work together to develop an action plan to move forward, set some goals and ensure you are equipped to take your first steps towards achieving your health vision.

    If you’re ready to begin health coaching with me, I will send you some intake forms and a health and wellbeing questionnaire which should be returned to me at least 2 days prior to our initial 75-minute consultation.

  • Follow-up sessions allow us to reflect on and celebrate your successes and address any challenges or areas of concern you’ve faced since we last met. I will be guided by your focus each session and will partner with you to set reasonable next steps, and then support you and to be accountable for your goals.

    • 8 x 45-60 min coaching sessions in follow-up to the initial consultation.

    • Weekly email or text support.

    • Flexible schedule. The coaching sessions are ideally scheduled weekly for the first four weeks, then fortnightly for eight weeks.

    • However, it is designed to be flexible and convenient for you. We can arrange for any of the coaching sessions, after the first session, to be conducted either face-to-face, by phone or by video conference.

    1. We begin by exploring what you’d like to change going forward. I will help you to identify your health and wellness priorities and formulate ideas for the direction you want to take that align with your values and desires for optimum health and wellbeing.

    2. We'll work together to create an inspiring health and wellness vision and craft what your ideal life will look like.

    3. Together we will create some meaningful health and wellness goals that guide you towards your vision.  We will also co-create a wellness plan that includes restorative and preventative lifestyle measures that support healthy ageing. Each coaching session will focus on implementing small steps that lead you closer to your goals and vision.

    4. Throughout all your coaching sessions we will continue to review, measure, and celebrate your successes and then determine your next steps.

Gut Health

A healthy digestive system is core to many vital functions in the body, converting food into key nutrients and providing energy and important micronutrients to help maintain good health and a state of wellbeing. Many modern lifestyle factors have placed digestive systems under great stress, which for many individuals triggers chronic inflammation. A growing body of evidence shows that many chronic diseases can be caused or influenced by inflammation in the gut. Our Gut Health consultation is committed to helping you alleviate your current health concerns while nourishing and restoring your digestive health so you can thrive at every stage of life.

  • The initial consultation includes a comprehensive discussion and evaluation of your past and current health status, dietary habits and your future health goals. I will outline the role of nutrition and the gut microbiome in overall health and wellbeing, and will formulate a personalised nutrition plan to set you on a path to improve your gut health.

    Includes the provision of information about the simple and painless gut microbiome test, and instructions on how to complete it.

    The results of the gut microbiome test will form the basis of a personalised plan to improve your gut health and overall wellbeing. If there are signs of a compromised gut barrier (leaky gut), inflammation or an imbalance of healthy bacteria, we can prescribe research-supported pre- and probiotics and supplements.

    *Please note the gut microbiome test is an additional cost to the gut microbiome consultation fee and test results take approximately 3-4 weeks. Within this timeframe, you will have email support with me. Once the microbiome test has been taken I will provide you with a list of prebiotic and probiotic foods, fibre and resistant starches to balance and optimise your gut bacteria and start you on your gut-healing journey.

  • At this consultation I will explain your gut microbiome test results and from here will design a personalised nutrition plan to improve your digestive and overall health based on your results. I may also recommend some additional supportive probiotics and supplements to help reduce inflammation, restore impaired gut barrier function and help bring your gut bacteria back into balance.

    1. UNDERSTAND
      We’ll discuss the reasons for investigating your gut microbiome. We will explore and discuss your past and current health status, dietary habits, and your future health goals.  You will learn about the role of nutrition and the gut microbiome in overall health and wellbeing and together we will formulate a personalised plan to set you on a path to improve your nutritional and gut health. 

    2. ASSESS
      You will learn about your gut microbiome test results and from here we will discuss and develop a personalised nutrition and gut health plan to restore and improve your gut microbiome profile and function based on your results.  

    3. REVIEW
      We will review and plan the response. At follow up appointments we will review your progress and to make appropriate adjustments to your nutrition plan to help you stay on track to improving your gut health and dietary habits for the long term.

    4. MONITOR
      We will measure changes in your gut microbiome and gut health and adjust your nutrition and gut health plan accordingly.
